Paul Guth
Vice President, Technical Operations
Paul Guth is responsible for ensuring that Cloudscaling projects meet predefined benchmarks for performance, security, and availability. His passion for the art and science of reliable systems spans the past 15 years, during which he has built and operated some of the world’s largest online systems.
During Paul’s five years as eBay’s Director of Site Operations, he was responsible for the availability and performance of eBay's Marketplaces properties, including ebay.com. Paul combined ITIL concepts and processes with practical implementation to help eBay deliver record-breaking availability over 99.99%. Paul also has held leadership positions at TiVo, Wired Digital, and Lycos, among others.
Paul attended the University of California at Berkeley where he studied Biochemistry.
